Gmail add-on

The Appraisal Builder add-on for Gmail looks at the email you have open. If that email is a request for a property appraisal, you can start the appraisal from the address in the message.

• Install the add-on, then open an email in Gmail. The add-on appears in the side panel.
• Sign in to Appraisal Builder with the same Google account as that Gmail inbox. A different address will not connect.
• When Google asks, allow the add-on to read the open email and sign you in. It reads that message only. It does not read the rest of the mailbox, change labels or filters, or send email.

If something is not working

• The side panel asks for permission. Choose Allow. If it asks a second time, that grant is the one that reads the open email. Allow that too. You do not need to close the message.
• The add-on says it is disconnected. Sign in to Appraisal Builder with the same email as Gmail, open Settings, and reconnect the add-on.
• The add-on is not in the side panel. Refresh Gmail and open an email. The panel is on the right of an open message.
• An email could not be read. Choose Grant permission if the panel offers it, then Allow. If it offers Read this email, choose that. If it still fails, close the message and open it again, then email friendswithco@gmail.com.

Removing the add-on

In Gmail, open the side panel, open the add-on menu, and uninstall. You can also remove it from the Google Workspace Marketplace listing.
